Senior Manager Revenue Accounting at Hopin
Remote

Responsibilities

  • Revenue subject matter expert collaborating with Sales, Legal, and Business Development teams to review and evaluate the impact of draft contracts for revenue recognition
  • Provide technical accounting guidance in negotiating and structuring deals to provide operational efficiency and optimum revenue yield
  • Act as the primary technical accounting resource for the company by researching, resolving and documenting accounting issues that arise during contract reviews and new product introductions
  • Hands-on experience in working with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Operations, Deal Desk etc.) in reviewing the revenue deal structure
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end process (including design, implementation or testing) of Order to cash process
  • Experience in handling large volumes of data in large scale analyses
  • Evaluate customer contracts to ensure that revenue is recognized accurately in accordance
  • with accounting rules
  • Manage and update revenue recognition policies to maintain reporting accuracy and scale
  • with business acquisitions
  • Develop whitepaper or accounting memos to support company’s position or policy election
  • on certain revenue recognition issues
  • Participate in developing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring quality controls
  • over revenue transactions and reporting
  • Drive processes and automation efforts to build best in class revenue accounting processes
  • Manage the revenue close process and the quarterly/annual financial statement disclosures
  • Help prepare data and other support information requests as needed for audits and reviews
  • conducted by external auditors as well as for business partners

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 6+ years of experience required, at least 2 year as a manager
  • Public accounting experience required
  • Working knowledge of ASC606
  • Revenue System Implementation experience (a plus)
  • Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite (a plus)
  • Demonstrated success with process improvement initiatives
  • Solutions-oriented team player who enjoys a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical with a sharp focus on details
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) complex information in a clear and concise
  • manner
  • Ability to effectively work with all levels and cross-functionally within the company
