Group Product Manager at Strateos

We are seeking a Group Product Manager to drive the product portfolio of Strateos software products, from understanding user needs to shipping value. This person will have a significant role in defining the long-term vision and roadmap, as well as driving the day-to-day. They will collaborate closely with our users and our partners to understand product requirements based on analytics, interviews, and research. The Group Product Manager will work with our internal team of automation engineers, software engineers, scientists and designers to design and develop products which meet these requirements, serving as the key link between our users and our engineering and science teams.

  • Grow a team of product managers and represent Product among the Strateos Software Platform leadership.

  • Build and manage a product portfolio roadmap for all of our software products across the Strateos Console, APIs, CLI, Command and Control Software. Initiate and prioritize projects within our engineering group, collaborate with software, hardware, and scientific product managers owning products within the portfolio, track product development, and develop product launch plans. Present roadmap, demos, and progress updates to managers and executives in Product, Sales, Science, and Engineering.

  • Understand the digital life sciences market, providing analyses of existing and new segments and contributing to Strateos’s positioning across our portfolio.

  • Make informed decisions based on a deep understanding of market and user needs

  • Translate user needs into actionable requirements and work closely with engineers and scientists to drive them to launch

  • Advocate for the adoption of new offerings via data-driven proposals

  • Aggregate multiple user requests and suggestions into generalized needs to drive product development

  • Be the first user of all products to develop a hands-on perspective on our user experience. Be the expert of user personas, requirements, and feedback for our products. Determine and be responsible for product satisfaction.

  • Influence hardware and software roadmap direction based on user requirements and enable high value applications.

  • Understand key near term product opportunities through deep engagement with partners/users.

You have:

  • PhD degree in relevant, biology, medicinal chemistry, biomedical engineering fields or equivalent in practical experience

  • 8+ years experience in product management, program management, product design, management consulting or other business experience

  • Experience developing, novel differentiated service offerings in the life sciences

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with history of clients and other stakeholders as audience

  • Strong prioritization and project management skills, including timely communication of timelines, status, and critical issues

  • Experience managing a portfolio of products

  • Experience growing and managing a group of product managers

  • Track record of owning and launching new products

  • Extensive experience working closely with an engineering team, ideally with some experience writing code and architecting solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional and cross-departmental groups focused on a common goal

  • Demonstrable analytical skills

You might have:

  • Experience implementing or expanding product-driven, agile methodologies at an engineering organization

  • Experience leading analytics or machine learning based products 

  • Worked on performing and synthesizing user experience research

  • A background in software engineering or the life sciences

  • Experience working with large biotech and pharmaceutical enterprises
