For the Ruby on Rails engineer with the level of experience to be our subject matter expert within the Rails environment, this is the ideal time to join LiveOps as we continue to make the transition to Rails. You will lead and work with other team members in taking the LiveOps platform applications into our next phases of growth. As a LiveOps Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer, working from our Santa Clara, CA location, you will work on refactoring existing code as well as working on designing components and features for our new products for the LiveOps business-to-business web application. At your disposal are all of the facilities of Linux, Ruby, Perl, Java, MySQL, other various open source technologies, as well as home-grown technologies. Your senior level experience with Ruby on Rails is mandatory as we will rely on you to be our subject matter expert assisting other engineers with your expertise. Ruby-On-Rails is our platform for web application development, but this role will also require Perl programming experience. Leverage your solid understanding of HTML fundamentals, CSS, as well as JavaScript and AJAX programming. In addition, XML, JSON will enable you to take on projects in a variety of areas. We practice Agile development methodologies, so exposure to agile practices will be beneficial as you serve in a technical team lead capacity as a SCRUM master.
