LiveOps is seeking a sharp interaction designer with the ability to adapt quickly to our fast-paced environment, and take a design from conception to HTML production-ready mock-up under tight deadlines. Our ideal candidate is comfortable spending time with users to understand their needs, and capable of understanding web technologies at a detailed spec level.
In this role, you will design user interface features for our web-based applications for a network of distributed call center professionals and enterprise customers. You’ll work closely with product management and engineering to define feature sets and product requirements, participate in focus groups and customer calls to collect user data, create and iterate UI designs, and apply user interface principles and best-practice designs to produce detailed written specifications for our Engineering team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Proven success with 2+ years of practical commercial design experience; direct experience with UI design in either software or web applications is required
* Solid understanding of Web technologies and the Web development process
* Proficiency in screen layout and visual design
* Attention to detail, a dedication to quality, and the ability to produce aesthetically pleasing designs
* Knowledge of user interface design principles, web design best practices, and web standards
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong ability to communicate and drive results via conversation, UI, visual design and writing
* Thorough knowledge of major design tools, e.g. Adobe
* Fluency in JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, and CSS UI design. Web 2.0 experience is a plus
* Ability or willingness to learn to write and debug clean HTML/CSS
* Flash experience is a plus
* Bachelors or higher degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Visual design or related field is required
