| Alder is looking for an individual to lead the fermentation development activities for its yeast-produced antibody pipeline. This individual will have responsibility for overseeing the internal and external phase-appropriate development and manufacturing activities required to optimize and validate fermentation processes for manufacture of antibodies in recombinant pichia strains. This person will report to the Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical Operations and be part of the team that establishes and implements strategies for the development and supply of antibodies for nonclinical research, clinical trials and when appropriate, marketed products. In addition to leading a small group focused on developing fermentation processes at the lab scale, this person and her/his group will also have the responsibility for transferring these processes to CMO’s and to partners. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have an advanced degree, plus a minimum of 7 years relevant experience, including a strong fermentation and engineering background and experience developing and implementing fermentation processes at a variety of scales in a GMP environment. The ability to analyze and improve in-house support infrastructure is critical, as is the ability to thrive in a small company environment where flexibility, creativity and teamwork are the keys to success. | |
