General Overview

* The ExteNet Systems Manager of RF Engineering plays a key role in coordinating and conducting all RF design and integration related issues for projects and customers involved in the company’s Distributed Antenna System (DAS) deployments
* The Manager of RF Engineering will support Business Development with technical presentations, white papers and analysis during the sales cycle

Detailed Responsibilities

* Manage all RF design activities, including identification of customer design objectives, initial RF design via propagation tools, and presentation to customers
* Manage all new network integration activities, including network test and optimization, troubleshooting, and validation of coverage objectives
* Interact with existing and potential customers to identify new business opportunities and ensure delivered networks continue to meet original customer expectations
* Assist in the negotiation of contracts with technical RF service vendors and related equipment suppliers
* Develop and maintain a resource list of potential hires, independent contractors and other RF professionals
* Monitor internal compliance with Company methodology, reporting and communications in the RF environment, and take corrective action where needed and communicate and document changes to processes and procedures to improve RF Engineering deliverables
* Required Experience
o 5+ years of managing RF Engineering teams
+ Understanding of sophisticated RF engineering predictive and mapping tools
+ Proven track record of defining RF project scope and objectives, managing deliverables and budgets, setting and delegating team priorities, tracking progress against milestones, identifying/mitigating risks, and reporting to executives
+ Ability to work with, facilitate meetings with, and present to multiple, distinct audiences (working team, firm executives, customers, contractors, external resources)
+ Demonstrated problem solving and risk mitigation abilities
o 5+ years of work experience in the wireless industry
o General
+ Minimum BSEE, preferably MScEE or equivalent
+ Proficient with MS Office Tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience

* RF engineering at a national wireless carrier
* RF design engineering and both strategic and tactical planning responsibilities
* Design of Distributed Antenna System (DAS) networks or medium to large scale deployments
* Management of independent contractor resources
