Description
Fate’s Stem Cell Biology Group is currently seeking a talented cell biologist to lead our
bone program. The successful candidate will develop and execute cell based assays for
identifying and understanding the effects of small molecule compounds and proteins on
mesenchymal stem cell differentiation to osteoblasts. Deep knowledge of bone biology is
required, as well as extensive experience with cell culture techniques including primary
cell culture, transfection and viral infection, immortalization and stable cell line
development, and immunocytochemistry. Experience with qPCR and Fluorescence
Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) is highly desirable. Familiarity with animal models of
bone repair is a plus. This is a hands-on position that requires cooperative team
participation to successfully achieve aggressive research goals.
Qualifications
 Ph.D in cell biology, molecular biology or biochemistry.
 5 years research experience in osteoblast biology.
 Extensive experience with cell based assays.
 Experience with budgets, developing and implementing cost-saving measures.
 Flexible and cooperative spirit with strong commitment to team efforts.
 Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
 Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
