Ironwood is seeking an experienced professional to support its ongoing licensing activities. This person will report to the Vice President of Business Development, and will collaborate with a significant portion of Ironwood's R&D organization. The eventual hire will work with product teams to provide commercial input and to coordinate licensing activities. In addition, this person will be responsible for sourcing in-licensing opportunities to add to Ironwood's pipeline. The position's responsibilities include all aspects of business development at Ironwood, which include market research, competitive intelligence, and commercial strategy.

-Analyze licensing opportunities;

- Facilitate partnering discussions;

- Perform market analysis of internal and external programs of interest;

- Provide market guidance to internal teams;

- Participate on negotiation teams.

- B.A./B.S. required;

- At least 5 years in business development or relevant healthcare consulting experience;

- Strong presentation skills;

- Strong project management skills;

- A history of strategy development;

- Strong analytical skills;

- Proficiency in financial modeling;

- Able work collaboratively across functional groups;

- Willingness to travel;

- Science background is preferred.
