| Description: | Company Overview Tursiop Technologies, LLC is developing revolutionary medical Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technology that will redefine the standards for the industry. Tursiop’s coils will open the door to new applications within the areas of interventional, intra-operative and functional MRI. A venture-funded, growth-oriented startup, Tursiop seeks to hire an RF Engineer to design, fabricate and test radio frequency (RF) coils for specific MRI applications. Position Overview The successful candidate will develop engineering specifications, design coil configurations, test coil and circuit designs on the bench, and conduct validation studies in imaging labs. This hands-on position is suitable for a highly motivated self-starter familiar with the use of RF test equipment and fixtures and with the design and small-scale manufacture of circuit boards. The RF Engineer reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer and will have the opportunity to advance her/his career as the company grows. | ||||||
| Qualifications: | • Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or physics REQUIRED, graduate degree in these areas PREFERRED. • Deep background in RF electronics, with at least 4 years experience designing, testing and assembling RF coils for specialized MRI applications for a commercial device manufacturer. • In-depth expertise developing RF coil arrays REQUIRED and experience across a range of MRI system field strengths is PREFERRED. • Experience transitioning prototype builds into a standardized manufacturing process STRONGLY PREFERRED. • Familiarity with a variety of coil design methodologies, both standard and customized RF simulation software, quality control procedures, design revision control and regulatory documentation.
