Our product lines are experiencing rapid growth and demand due to our unique ability to provide cost effective solutions that streamline communications and link resources systematizing critical processes within organizations The Director of Technology’s role is to align technology vision with the appropriate technology platform, product and business strategy and ensure timely execution of all projects. The Director of Technology is also responsible for all aspects of developing and implementing technology initiatives for products. This individual maintains existing systems, while providing direction in all technology-related issues in support of information operations and core company values. Responsibilities • Participate as a member of the senior management team in strategic planning and develop the technology vision for the organization. • Define requirements and architect new technology implementations and communicate them to key business stakeholders and project teams. • Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts. • Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the product development and installation of major information systems. • Creatively and independently provide resolution to technical problems in a cost-effective manner. • Develop, track, and control the technical services annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations. • Develop a product “roadmap” and then plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contracts or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Director of Technology will also approve project objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. | ||||||
| Qualifications: | • University degree in the field of computer science or business administration. Master’s degree in one these fields preferred. • Working knowledge of the most current technology platforms for SaaS, such as Ruby on Rails and other open source platforms • Be practicing “agile” development in his/her current position and imbed that in the organization • 3 years experience working in software development • Technical experience with systems networking, project management, databases, Web development, and user support. • Experience developing and building Experience with Microsoft.net, ASP.net, integrations using APIs and SQL server • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology issues. | ||||||
