Do you enjoy working on cutting-edge ideas using cutting-edge technology? A new startup in the Cleveland area is looking for a top-notch thrill-seeking web developer to join our engineering team. We have exciting, challenging work and a lot of it for the motivated individual that has what it takes to be a part of our high-velocity, no-holds-barred, get-it-done team. You will be in the thick of everything, working in a true startup environment on all aspects of software development from design, to coding, testing and deployment. | Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS: • Real-world experience developing web-based applications on the WAMP/LAMP stack or similar platform • PHP development experience highly desirable • Good understanding of SEO, with experience developing applications that cater to top search engine indexing algorithms • Strong site layout and design skills, including all of the basic web stuff: (X)HTML, CSS, Javascript. We're not looking for Photoshop mockups here. You must be capable of translating design to working server-side code. • Mastery of advanced Web 2.0 techniques and design patterns. This should include development experience using AJAX, preferably including experience with a popular AJAX toolkit such as Prototype, YUI, or SAJAX • Experience developing secure REST APIs, preferably using PHP. This implies mastery of HTTP, XML, XML Schema, and all other relevant standards. • Strong understanding of web analytics and metrics. Our business model is centered on charging our customers for the delivery of highyly targetted traffic. Experience tracking referrals, usage statistics, ad impressions, etc. is highly desirable. Familiarity with packages such as OpenX would be a plus. • SQL experience, particularly with MySQL ADDITIONAL SKILLS: • Full application lifecycle experience using common agile methodologies • Object Oriented Programming (OOP) skills • Experience working on and integrating with a CRM tool such as Salesforce.com. • Source code management systems (SCMs) such as CVS and subversion • Experience working with a high-availability commercial web application highly desirable • Fluent written communication skills and sharp verbal agility PLEASE NOTE: iGuiders is not interested in taking development outside of Cleveland, Ohio. | ||||||
