| Senior Test and Validation Engineer | | Amalfi Semiconductor | | Description
As Senior Test and Validation you will work with the Engineering Design Team to conduct first article verification/qualification of Amalfi RF devices.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Automate RF test system (e.g.: using Lab Window), including implementation, debugging, improvement and test verification
* Trouble shoot test software and chip test to solve RF related problems
* Work with software engineering for test system automation set-up and debug
* Prepare bench test set-ups for the verification of device functionality, performance and failure analysis
* Review and analyze test data, prepare summary test reports, and perform technical peer review of summary test reports
* Develop internal and customer reference boards, modules or substrates
* Manage lab test equipment suppliers and resources as appropriate
* Able to adjust working time as requested, such as working second shift on a temporary basis
* Assist in the training of Field Applications Engineers as required
* Create presentation materials for Engineering, Sales and Marketing
* Provide customer support on technical issues and product failure analysis
Specific Qualifications and Skills Include:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Masters preferred
* 5+ years experience in RF front end design and testing, including a minimum of 22 years experience with RF bench testing and data collection
* Experience in RF board systems and design
* Skilled in the use of spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and other technical instrumentation
* Experience in PA and Tx/Rx testing and design
* Experience in IC automation test systems a plus
* Proficient in Excel and data processing
* Experience in automating lab instrumentation with such packages as Lab Windows or LabView, or C
* Familiarity with wireless standards such as GSM, CDMA, WCDMA preferred
* Familiarity with the design of mobile handsets a plus
* Strong team player and practical problem solver
* Diplomatic and responsive customer interface skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated success in meeting deadlines
* A self-starter and team-player, with demonstrated success in a small company environment
