Description:	Help design, develop processes, and fabricate a planar, smooth, and ultra thin-film membrane (out of Si, graphene or other combination of materials) for putting DNA on • Knowledge of surface analysis and characterization techniques, AFM, XPS, etc• Knowledgeable of current techniques and methods, but is not afraid to invent whole new techniques to get the job done. • Wet/Dry etching, lithography, mask making, general silicon processing. • Excellent experience in processing silicon MEMS devices.• Help design and fabricate a micro-pillar array• Preparing atomically flat, step-free surfaces, hundreds of microns to millimeters large• Cleaning, removing contamination, testing for contamination• CVD, Plasma deposition and etching• Knowledge and familiarity with SNF• Very knowledgeable of current research techniques in your areas of expertise• Good working/practical knowledge of equipment –everybody gets their hands dirty!• Well networked in your field –help us build the team and find the expertise we need!• May not fit into one of the positions as described exactly, but have skills applicable to multiple positions or are exceptional in a particular area. • Very open to new ideas and methods (not dogmatic)• Able to take responsibility for a project and drive it forward with minimal supervision• Not afraid to jump into a new field and learn as needed• Experienced with startup environments (this is a plus, but not necessary)• Already living in the Stanford/South Bay area or able to relocate• Ready to join our team right now!•
