Our Operations team enlists kitchen managers, executive assistants, recruiters, and other support based members; we have infectious positive attitudes and we strive to make the impossible happen. We are chameleons, most importantly, who are comfortable with a range of tasks including running basic errands and keeping our home base overflowing with amenities, to managing company-wide events and significant projects relative company growth and sustainability. We’ve been empowered to scale with our company, to be the infrastructure providers that support Palantir’s continuous successful growth. Within the Operations Analyst-Business Development position, there are three different positions. Candidates can be eligible for all or one position, and will be placed, if hired, in the best fit position: Support * Exceedingly organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously * Very comfortable with planning travel arrangements (air, hotel, ground both international and domestic) * Outstanding customer service; we are hard working, ethical and thoughtful to create the ideal environment for our engineers to produce brilliant software. * Everyday is different; be able to be flexible with projects from building desks to designing workspaces to helping set up for social events * Experience in construction, maintenance and facilities is valuable * Comfortable with getting your hands dirty such as helping move our offices to new buildings Marketing * Knowledge of conference set up and preparations; managing all the deliveries and shipping of all our materials to promote our products at fairs; prepping materials & hardware for demonstrations * Capable of planning out massive conference schedule & communicating schedule effectively to the team * Having an event planning background is a bonus * Ease in speaking with clients, vendors, and various other stakeholders. We want someone to represent us and leave everyone wanting more! Information Technology (IT) * Because this role requires a technical background, we ask that you are comfortable with the following: * Basic Linux Sys Admin items o OS install/config/update o Create users and manage rights o Diagnose perf issues (i.e. top, pf ,etc.) o Diagnose network issues (i.e. hostfile, etc) * Basic Oracle Admin items o Install an oracle instance in Windows or Linux o Manage memory and disc usage, tweak as needed o Manage users and tablespace * Basic Helpdesk items o Be able to answer user questions when users have issues, i.e. “WTF my (insert: VPN, wireless, particular application, etc.) doesn’t work on my laptop anymore” or “MY LAPTOP DIED!!! Can we get my stuff back?!” o Assist with Palo Alto-based IT push upgrades (hard/software) to DC-based users Requirements for all positions * College Degree; preferably in Business, Communications, Computer Science/IT * Able to adapt and open to change, growth and new ideas * Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Office, Outlook, Excel) * Open to travelling throughout the year; up to 75% of the time (dependant on position) * Hard worker, ethical, thoughtful, and most importantly, genuine * Team player and open to feedback from team mates * Great sense of humor and positivity * Enthusiasm and plenty of energy * You are a person that believes you “perform best under pressure” | |
