| Overview: As a member of the Design team, the qualified candidate will participate in all phases of Software development cycle from concept through production of the next generation Telecom systems. Responsibilities: The qualified candidate will •Design and implement DS1/T1 Line unit software on a proprietary embedded system which will interface other subsystems (such as management interface) to provide these following services: DS1 Hi-cap, clearchannel, GR303, GR08. •Writing device driver on T1 Framer/LIU, and AAL1 network processor •Work with FPGA engineer to design software interface. Design and implement device driver for the customized FPGA. •Follow project development processes and participate all phases of project development cycle from project initiation to production. •Sustain exiting T1 Family Line Units Qualifications: MUST HAVE: •Able to conduct technical discussion in English proficiently. •5+ years experience in embedded system design/programming/debugging in C •3+ Experience on implementation of SW layer to control all these hardware interface: PCI, TDM, and SPI •Strong analytical skills •3+ years experience in software configuration management environment •2+ years experience on design and implementation on T1or E1 framer •3+ years experience on how to use test telecom equipments, including 1.oscilloscope, and 2.logic analyzer, and 3.T-berd or Omniberd, or other equivalent T1 testers •2+ years experience in ATM, including AAL1 •Able to travel to US for weeks if required •Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills •2+ years experience working in projects that has HW/SW design and has gone through full project cycle from project initiation, design, implementation, integration, DVT, to GA. •Provide high quality deliverables, including documentations, software source code, and test results. •Quickly prioritize tasks and drive multiple tasks in parallel DESIRED: •Have experience in clearcase, clearquest is plus | |
