This position will contribute significantly to the quality improvement of the R7.x releases. Responsibilities: You will play a vital role in the development and maintenance of a unified network management system of a multi-services telecom access platform. As developer, your focus will be on integration and automation. You will participate in the product design and requirements to achieve testability and architect and implement automated testing frameworks that are robust and resilient to product change and flexible to adapt to the product. You will become intimate with requirements to compile and implement testcases in those frameworks You will be involved in the development and maintenance of a large-scale, leading edge graphical and web 2.0 based network management application utilizing the latest technologies. The CMS application is written in Java with a client-server architecture and supports multiple platforms. The application includes GUI Client (Swing), Web Client (GWT), XML/Web services, SNMP, TR-069, and command line interfaces. Your primary development environment will be Windows, but you will also work on the Linux and Solaris platforms. You will have the chance to work with real-time telecom hardware that are used to provides broadband data, video, and voice services to millions of homes and business across North America. Qualifications: Most importantly, you are a make-it-happen person that is eager to learn complex systems and communicate crisply. Qualifications: * 2+ years of Java software development experience * Strong competency in Java language fundamentals * Competency working on Unix and Windows platforms. * Excellent technical communication skills with English, both speaking and writing * Solid analytical, design, debugging and integration skills * Bachelor degree in Computing Science or equivalent Desirables: * Object oriented design and common patterns * Java Swing GUI application development * Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit * Java web application development, e.g. GWT, Javascript, Servlet, HTML, CSS * Java server development, e.g. JMS, EJB, JBOSS, Hibernate, JDBC, Postgres/Oracle * Network Management interfaces. e.g. Socket, SNMP, SOAP, Netconf, OSI, TL1 * Knowledge of telecom and data networking (access/transport) EOE | |
