Overview:

As a member of the Field Marketing execution team, the Tradeshow Manager will work with the sales and marketing groups to coordinate the budgeting, management and implementation of all aspects of tradeshow, conference, and customer events management for local, regional, national, or international shows. This will include the management of show logistics, vendor relations, booth properties / budget, and related customer, prospect, or partner (vendor) meetings, along with the coordination of any other show related support activities as needed.


Responsibilities:

The Tradeshow Manager will be responsible for managing and communicating show messaging, identifying booth content (equipment / marketing collateral), and ensuring a consistent look / feel that is in alignment with strategic Corporate Marketing and Field Marketing initiatives. The Tradeshow Manager will be responsible for maintaining and managing show schedules, registering Calix show attendees, creating / distributing show memos, while maintaining and managing show / vendor relationships. The Tradeshow Manager will coordinate all pre-event logistics including, but not limited to, online registrations, maintaining website for upcoming shows, supplier contracts, rooming list, food and beverage, AV/production, ground transportation, show photography (when required) and on-site booth staffing. This job will require travel and for shows that require on-site management and the Tradeshow Manager will need to be flexible, creative and an effective supervisor of staff and contractors to deliver flawlessly executed events. Following the event, the Tradeshow Manager will thoroughly review all invoices and bills to track and reconcile these expenses against the show budget and identify new solutions or ways to enhance ROI and streamline the execution / efficiency for future events.


Qualifications:

4-6 years trade show, conference, or events management experience, preferably in telecommunications or the high tech industry
*
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business
*
Strong verbal and written communication skills
*
Strong leadership, self management, organization, and people skills
*
Strong vendor negotiation / sales skills
*
Technical background a plus
