| Overview: Sr. Business Systems Analyst This Business Systems Analyst will manage the full project life cycle for business system solutions within the ERP strategy. This position will be accountable for maintaining and delivering business system solutions on a timely manner. Responsibilities: Responsibilities * Establish collaborative and effective partnerships with the assigned business representatives. * Gain an understanding of business area needs and priorities and set expectations for project solutions. * Work closely with business partners to understand strategic business direction and work/process flows within the business areas, and develop appropriate business process automation strategies. * Identify opportunities for process optimization, process redesign or development of processes related to customer interactions with Calix. Lead effort to prepare metrics including support for future automation opportunities. * Manage and guide project team through software development methodology, including project assessment, planning, design, build, QA, and implementation. * Provide technical and functional support for project team, participating in reviews, alternatives, and technical direction in all phases of the development cycle. * Provide ongoing feedback and status of projects to IT and business areas, identifying any variances to plan and proposing solutions and alternatives for the variances. * Lead effective project meetings, publish minutes, and track issues and actions to resolution. * Support project team members through communication and issue/action tracking with project sponsors, IT management, business representatives, and cross-functional organizations. * Support planned changes within the IT department, business initiatives, and company and help communicate changes to project team. * Manage vendor relationships and consultant resources on a day-to-day basis. * Work with Application service providers and application support personnel to drive projects and support issues to resolution. * Gather, document, prioritize and effectively communicate business requirements while driving the business to the ultimate deployment of an appropriate and acceptable business solution. * Translate business requirements into functional system specifications that can be successfully executed by the Application Service Provider or consultant resource. * Provide best practice recommendations in the areas of Accounting, Finance, HR, Order Management, Customer Support, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Qualifications: Requirements * Five to seven years of recent project management experience with ERP implementations. * Seven to ten years of experience with hands-on detailed system design, requirements gathering, documentation, data modeling, development, and implementation. * Ability to manage multiple projects (one large and several small) concurrently within established budgets and timelines. * Seven to ten years implementing and supporting Oracle ERP in a techno-functional capacity (Financials, OM, Manufacturing/Supply Chain, CRM). Experience with Oracle R12 and Hyperion Planning a plus. * Experience with B2B integration and EDI a plus. * Experience with cloud computing or SaaS model of application service delivery. * Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new and changing technologies, applications, and solutions. * Strong quantitative and analytical aptitude, with extensive knowledge and experience in process modeling, data analysis and system solutions. Able to present, organize, and convey complex problems or issues within and across other functions. * Self motivated, self discipline, creative and determined to reach goals and objectives with minimal management intervention and control. Ability to work independently but also to lead others in the completion of important projects and major initiatives. * Strong leadership, project management, influencing, negotiation and decision-making skills, coupled with sound judgement. Ability to manage projects within functional teams and across the organization. Highly organized with excellent follow-through. * Strong written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to build relationships. * Demonstrable, strong customer-service attitude. * Excellent time management, and solution-oriented skills. * Must be a team player with the ability to identify issues and be proactive in driving solutions. * Requires BS degree or equivalent plus 10+ years related business process development and systems implementation experience.
