Position Profile: Under the guidance of the Director of Information Technology and Product Operations, the Junior Infrastructure Administrator will help with day-to-day operation of iovation’s Software as a Service (SaaS) hosting environment. While supporting our IT systems, you will have opportunity to learn all the ‘ins and outs’ of a very complex and high volume SaaS application hosting environment.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for new technologies and be an energetic and resourceful team player. This position has tremendous learning potential and we are seeking someone excited for the challenge.
Job Responsibilities
* Install, Maintain, Configure Linux Servers
* Install, Maintain, Configure Network cabling and datacenter equipment
* Troubleshoot hardware issues with vendors and manage hardware support tickets
* Manage operating system backups
* Other job duties as assigned
Skills Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, related field or applicable work experience may be considered in substitution
* Basic Linux systems administration (RedHat or CentOS)
* Basic working knowledge of web services (Apache)
* Basic working knowledge of TCP/IP networking
* Basic working knowledge of Symantec NetBackup
* Server hardware support (Dell PowerEdge hardware running Linux)
* Mechanical Server Racking, Cabling, Installation
* Strong mechanical aptitude, not afraid of screwdriver and the inside of a Dell server
* Must pass Dell PowerEdge hardware support certification exams within 90 days of hire
