| UI Engineer | | Demdex | | Demdex, a well-funded venture-backed start-up is seeking a UI Engineer to join our technology team. You will help develop a revolutionary new product that will continue to transform the online advertising space. Demdex has an exceptional and accomplished management team so you will be in the company of real pros building exciting and innovative technology.
We provide SaaS solutions for data and audience management in online advertising. Our products are being used by top-tier publishers, advertising networks, agencies, brands and e-commerce companies worldwide.
Experience & skills required:
* Strong web interface design skills
* UX/UI development expertise using technologies such as XHTML, CSS, Blueprint, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and GWT
* Expert knowledge of user experience and information architecture design
* Experience developing for cross-browser/platform compatibility
* Understanding of OOP, Web-optimization practices, software lifecycle, source control and QA tools
* Understanding of online advertising concepts and language
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* 3-4 years of UI engineering experience
* BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
* ActionScript 3.0 and Flex experience a major plus
You will be responsible for ongoing UI development of our main client-facing platform and sets of tools for online data management and visualization. In your cover letter please tell us about your prior experience in internet advertising, as well as what you consider an example of great user experience (you can give us a couple of examples of sites to illustrate your thinking; bonus points if the sites are from your own portfolio). Since communication skills are incredibly important for this role, we would like to see a flavor of that in your application.
This position is full-time in New York City. Candidates must be US citizens or have secured appropriate work visas. Candidates must also be within daily commuting distance of Manhattan or willing to relocate.
