The VP or Director of Product Management will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering, analyzing and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and roadmap, and working closely with the development teams, sales, marketing, operations and information systems to ensure customer success and satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work with the CTO to develop and recommend annual and long-term product roadmap and technology, software development plans, staffing plans and budget.
* Product planning and execution throughout the entire product lifecycle of a SaaS product
* Must gather, analyze, and prioritize product and customer requirements
* Lead Product Management and Technical Writing teams to a successful product release
* Establish annual staff performance objectives with reference to results, quality and productivity standards, and time schedules.
* Manage and evaluate assigned department staff and assure that each person understands, accepts and supports new product development and R&D goals and objectives.
* Ensure that customer and company requirements are met
* Define product strategy and roadmap for the company’s product portfolio
* Define and document product requirements
* Track customer usage and requirements to ensure and identifying opportunities for success
* Conduct competitive, product strength and weakness assessments
* Assist in defining and driving product positioning and value proposition
* Lead efforts to train throughout the organization
* Define and implement policies and procedures to improve product launch success
* Prepare management reports, research market conditions and trends in the industry
REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of product management experience in software
* Product management skills and full life-cycle, Enterprise software application development experience required. SaaS experience preferred.
* Must be able to multi-task and effectively manage deadlines
* Must have great attention to detail, highly organized with a focus on quality work.
* Deep understanding of entire software development life cycle and supporting quality processes
* Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
* 4-year degree in computer science or related field required; Masters Degree with emphasis in business, computer sciences, preferred.
