| Responsibilities * Direct and coordinate the activities of North America Accounts Receivable Coordinators Responsibilities of the team include but are not limited to: sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and referring accounts to collection agencies. * Train and mentor Accounts Receivable Coordinators, providing feedback and coaching. * Recruit, interview and hire talented Accounts Receivable Coordinators. * Drive initiatives to improve processes that increase productivity, quality, service and increased cash flow. * Represent A/R challenges and concerns in cross-functional meetings. * Research and resolve escalated accounting inquires from customers. * Manage relationship with A/R outsourcing vendor to ensure the highest quality of service possible for OpenTable customers. * Manage relationship with external collections agencies. * Produce and analyze in-house accounts receivable and factored aging reports. * Incumbent will be responsible for people management of Accounts Receivable Coordinators. Desired Experience * BA/BS Degree in Accounting. * Seven to ten years experience in Accounts Receivable, with at least five years of people management experience and/or management of collections personnel. * A minimum of two years experience with day to day management of an outsourcing vendor. * Proven ability to manage, train and coach staff. * Excellent organizational and planning skills: task prioritization and effective time management. * Strong writing, presentation and informal communication skills. * Demonstrated customer service bias and an attitude that embraces process improvement. * Ability to understand issues and solve problems in a timely manner. * Comfortable working independently under limited supervision in an unstructured environment * Proven ability to work across many departments to solve problems and achieve results. * Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Accounting software (Great Plains preferred). COMMUNICATION SKILLS: While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. The employee requires the ability to write effective and detailed correspondence and to effectively present information both in one-on-one and small group situations. MENTAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to deal with stress associated with a fast-paced work environment and multiple priorities/tasks. The employee will be required to make judgment decisions and adapt to changing work situations, grasp and apply new ideas, communicate with various personalities at all levels and have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to work in an office environment, and the noise level is usually quiet to moderate. | |
