System Test Engineer

Description:

Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility is end to end testing of Silver Peak appliances and features including various network configurations and interoperability with router features and configurations. This involves designing test networks, documentation of test plans and results, automating tests, and running regression tests on subsequent releases.

Requirements:
* BS in EE or CS
* At least 5 years of work experience with a networking company
* Excellent knowledge of routing/switching
* Excellent knowledge of Internet protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, ARP etc)
* Hands on experience Linux or Unix and some scripting background, as well as Windows
* Experience creating test automation using iTest, SilkTest, TCL, or Perl
* Some background using test equipment, such as Spirent, Agilent, or IXIA is preferred
* Good trouble shooting and debugging skills are required
* Understanding of test processes (writing and executing test plan, filing bugs and following up on bug fixes)
* Good communication skills
* Must be a team player
