Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Product Support and Services (PSS), the Senior Solutions Architect is a self-sufficient software architect who is able to interact directly with adjacent project teams and customers to deliver solutions with a focus on EMEA.

Specifically, this position will be involved with projects from pre-sales through implementation, testing and customer sign-off. This individual will work independently or as part of a small technical team to evaluate a customer's data management architecture and assist in the delivery of the appropriate solution. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating current data management solutions, business and technical problems and complex architectures, and delivering a solution that meets the customer's business and technical requirements. Candidates will propose, plan and support the deployment of configurations to integrate with existing and new customer solutions, and track status and time spent on various activities. This individual will participate in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve our methodology and quality of deployments.
Responsibilities

* Provide ongoing customer relationship management through personal interactions and technical excellence
* Ongoing customer-facing activities, including travel to customer sites in order to develop business specifically in telecommunications industry
* Build trusted advisory relationship with key customers at various levels
* Provide input for long-term product roadmap
* Individual contributor role

Requirements

* Basic understanding of development methodologies and common web and application architectures
* Must be outgoing, action-oriented self-starter with the ability to independently solve technical problems
* Strong communication skills: must be able to speak clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences
* Minimum of 7 years recent experience architecting solutions for the telecommunications industry
* Deep knowledge in one or more database platforms at the physical DBA or code level
* Experience in distributed/grid computing and/or data management preferred
* Secondary degree in computer science preferred
* Currently well networked into EMEA professional telecommunications community and existing contacts within our target accounts
