HQ in Austin TX with a design center in Bangalore - this postion resides in Bangalore and we prefer local candidates that are located in India. As a Software Test Engineer you will contribute to the implementation and execution of automated tests for multiple products which comprise the next generation high definition video communications solution. Responsibilities: Develop functional test cases through product investigation, direct interaction with development, and documented requirements. Create automated test cases using XML. Execute manual and automated tests, analyze problems, provide detailed failure information, and work with development to facilitate defect resolution. | ||||||
| Qualifications: | 2+ years of software testing experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate product issues in a manner which enables successful resolution. Self-directed and able to carry out responsibilities with a minimum of supervision. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills; experience in detecting, isolating, and characterizing product defects. Familiarity with video and audio protocols. Programming experience in a high-level language such as C, C++ and/or experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl. Understanding of networking concepts/protocols – TCP/IP, NAT, IP packet routing, ISDN; experience troubleshooting networks – familiarity with sniffers, protocol trace tools.
