| Description: | Summary: An opportunity to share your talent as a graphic designer and to showcase your innovation and creativity by producing great design for an array of SolarWinds marketing materials. In this role, you will be collaborating with the graphic design team and web development team to develop creative assets and promotional graphics for the SolarWinds websites, email campaigns, banner ad campaigns, tradeshows, print materials, and more. Responsibilities: • Design creative graphics for the SolarWinds web properties that are distinctive, compelling, and speak to our target audience • Create a library of graphical assets for the SolarWinds brand and sub-brands that can be shared amongst many designers and departments; requires the ability to collaborate effectively with other designers and incorporate feedback from peers, as well as a working knowledge of branding best practices • Clearly document and communicate visual branding guidelines, best practices, and web design standards • Apply visual design for existing and new sections of the SolarWinds web properties, working closely with our interactive designers and product managers • Bring deep knowledge of design and usability principles to improve user engagement and conversion on web properties and in electronic marketing materials • Present visual comps to cross-functional teams in support of web projects and make modifications based on collaborative feedback • Produce HTML emails that are eye-catching, creative, and produce high conversion rates; requires the ability to analyze and learn from the effectiveness of previous creative • Produce animated Flash® banner ads for use on third-party sites that adhere to the SolarWinds branding guidelines and that yield a high click-through rate • Design large-scale print graphics for tradeshow booths • Create print promotional materials and brochures for events and marketing campaigns • Contribute out-of-the-box ideas and innovative concepts to help meet aggressive growth targets for lead generation and corporate awareness • Execute quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is an absolute must • Collaborate successfully with web development, graphic designers, copywriters, product marketing, product management, and marketing programs teams • Perform project management to drive multiple projects to completion on schedule | ||||||
| Qualifications: | Qualifications: • 5+ years of professional experience as a designer • Electronic portfolio of work that reflects your abilities and illustrates your skills in the functional design areas outlined in this job description • Expert Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Flash skills • Good working knowledge of HTML, with the ability to code intermediate web pages and HTML emails • Experience designing for different media – including websites, banner ads, emails, and print materials • Proven ability to create innovative online user experiences, with strong talent for layering compelling visual design on existing wireframes • Thorough understanding of Web standards and designing for multiple browsers • Highly creative thinker who can collaborate with peers and copywriters on creating great graphics and headlines that together leave a lasting impression • A “no project too big or small” attitude • Experience working in a fast-paced start-up/high-growth environment where every individual makes a difference • Detail-oriented, with excellent project management skills and the ability to successfully multi-task and manage several initiatives at one time • An eye for pixel-perfection in all things design related • Energetic team player, who brings creativity to the table, but thrives in a collaborative environment where many people contribute to the overall success of projects • Ability to incorporate constructive criticism into finished products, as well as to take high-level direction • Established track record of consistent delivery and meeting or exceeding deadlines | ||||||
