Location: Portland, OR

Summary:

Responsible for qualifying Tripwire prospects and selling company training by telephone and email in a specified region.

Reports To

Eastern Region Inside Sales Manager

Job Duties

* 12 to 15 outbound new prospect phone contacts per day.
* Set at least 1 qualified prospect appointment per day.
* Target at least 4 hours per day of phone and email prospect outreach.
* Qualify prospects by determining potential need and generating interest.
* Effectively communicate value of Tripwire solution to prospects by determining their current situation and correctly positioning our solution.
* Turn over qualified candidates to appropriate Account Manager.
* Close small sales, take orders, and prepare appropriate documentation.
* Handle inquiries generated through web and marketing programs.
* Ability to present value and demonstrate basic functionality of Tripwire Software to prospects using web and phone conferencing.
* Keep daily record of calls, appointments and other pertinent activities.
* Assist territory partners in customer outreach, account management and troubleshooting.
* Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company.
* Prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
* Update and maintain Sales database as appropriate.
* Willingness to learn and use leading sales methodologies such as Solution Selling, SPIN Selling, Value Vision as part of a strategy to expand territory sales.

Skills and Knowledge

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented atmosphere.
* Strong written/verbal communications skills.
* Ability to solve problems and think critically.
* Knowledge of PC use and Microsoft Office programs.
* Experience using CRM and web-based conferencing systems.

Education and Experience

* College coursework required - BA or BS preferred.
* Sales and/or customer service experience required.
